Cyber Security Engineer

Role Overview

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring the security landscape, identifying threats, and contributing to the stability and security of the IT architecture. You will work on a hybrid schedule, collaborating with internal departments and external service providers to ensure a uniform security understanding and efficient processing of security-relevant alarms.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include incident response measures, administration of Microsoft Defender, use of Microsoft Sentinel, integration of new systems into the SIEM, and operation of the vulnerability manager Tenable.

Why It Might Be a Fit

You will be a fit for this role if you have several years of professional experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, and administration of security solutions, and you are knowledgeable in handling SIEM solutions, especially Microsoft Sentinel. You should also have experience in the administration of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and know-how in managing security incidents.

Requirements

• Completed education in the IT sector or completed studies in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualifications
• Several years of professional experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, and administration of security solutions
• Knowledge in handling SIEM solutions, especially Microsoft Sentinel
• Experience in the administration of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Know-how in managing security incidents
• Safe handling of vulnerability scanners Tenable desirable
• Very good expertise in the field of IT and cloud security
• Structured working method, sense of responsibility, diligence, and accuracy
• Very good knowledge of German and English
