Role Overview

A General Manager is responsible for the strategy, P&L, product, team, and overall results of a business direction. The goal is to run the direction as a business and take full responsibility for its growth, profitability, and performance. The General Manager will own the entire direction as a business and product, including custody infrastructure, KYC/AML, deposits, withdrawals, and customer experience.

What You Will Do

The General Manager will own the strategy, economics, product roadmap, delivery, key metrics, and engineering team behind the direction. Responsibilities include owning custody infrastructure and relationships with custody providers, deposit and withdrawal flows, transaction processing speed, reliability, and success rates, and managing incidents and critical issues related to customer funds.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in crypto custody, payments, KYC/AML, or related financial infrastructure
  • Experience owning custody and compliance processes in a crypto exchange, wallet, broker, crypto bank, BaaS, custody platform, or similar environment
  • Practical experience with platforms such as Fireblocks, Copper, BitGo, Uphold, or similar
  • Strong understanding of KYC, AML, Travel Rule, transaction monitoring, and fraud prevention
  • Experience building operational compliance processes at scale
  • Experience working directly with external providers and negotiating commercial terms
  • Strong product and commercial mindset
  • Ability to understand how compliance decisions affect conversion, revenue, and customer experience
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort making decisions based on data
  • Technical literacy and ability to work directly with engineers
  • Experience managing teams and owning delivery
  • Experience in crypto or fintech is highly preferred
